But there really is never any guarantee if you open a picture that happens to have been infected with a virus or trojan. If you are like me, then you have very many accounts set-up on the net, so that means you must have an app that will fill-out all those fields. Check out a program called Roboform because it is free and has a long history on the net. Like all software, you will find the paid-for and free versions which is nice. What happens with these is you just click on a drop down that detects the site, and the correct login data will be input and submitted. As a security measure, it is recommended that you do not store any login information on your computer for banks or other money accounts.
As you know, your hard drive must be backed up at regular intervals. If you have had your hard drive for a long time, then obviously you do not want to risk losing it. We admit that this can be confusing for some if you are tech challenged. Somebody who is a very light user and basically does not download anything obviously does not have a lot to lose. Once you have done this once, then normally the programs will only back up what is new. Even if you have to save up to get what you need, it will be worth it and give you peace of mind.
We recommend that you take an important step, no matter how often you back up the hard drive of your computer. A USB thumb drive is good for putting important information on, like logins and digital receipts. If something happened to your computer, you could lose the receipts, so you need a record of your download purchases. If anything happens to your download and you don’t have the receipt, you are kind of out of luck. To get a replacement if your computer crashes, you will need your receipt. Since you bought the product, all you need is proof you actually did.
